What happens on the discovery call?
The discovery call is a complimentary 30-minute conversation about your challenges and priorities, and an honest read on whether the DuRoss Group is the right fit. No pitch, no pressure. If I’m not the right person for it, I’ll tell you and point you toward who is.
Do I need to know which service I want before reaching out?
Not at all. Most people reach out with a problem, not a service in mind. We’ll figure out together whether a retainer, a project, or a fractional COO engagement is the right fit, or whether you need something else entirely.
I think I need to hire someone full-time. Do I?
Maybe, but a lot of people who come to me thinking that don’t actually need a full-time hire, they need the experience without the headcount. Plenty of my clients started out looking to fill a role and ended up working with me as a consultant instead, and getting more than they would have from a single employee. If a full-time hire is genuinely the answer, I’ll tell you. Often it isn’t.
Is there any commitment or cost to reaching out?
None. The discovery call is free, and nothing moves forward until you’ve seen a scope and signed off. Anything we discuss stays confidential, with a mutual NDA in place before any engagement begins.
